1. We talk. This is where it all begins.
You book a free zoom call with me for a 30-50 minute chat. You answer a few questions to help me assess your needs before we talk. When we do, you get to check me out. Do you think my services could meet your needs? Do we click well enough personally to work together? If yes, yay! You’re on your way to much-needed pain relief!
If not, no worries. We part ways, no problem, no charge, no obligation. (No, really!)
2. I send you an agreement to consider. You think about it.
If you have any questions or misgivings, please don’t bury them! Let me know and we can book a follow-up call to clear up any concerns you may have.
If you’re okay with the agreement as is, you’ll sign it electronically and the doors will open to booking your first appointment.
3. You pay online through my secure payment agent.
Upon payment, you’re immediately directed to my booking calendar, where you schedule your first appointment. Subsequent appointments are usually booked at the end of each session.
4. Appointments are hands-on, and I meet you where you are to work through your project.
You might be halfway through your writing project before you decide you need help, and that’s perfectly fine. We just pick up where you’ve left off and work on whatever is next. No matter where you are in the life of the writing project, we might work on:
- scheduling to meet your deadline
- organizing and structuring the piece of writing you’re working on
- brainstorming topics and a thesis statement
- organizing research sources and notes
- talking through your ideas
- actually writing
- or anything else that needs doing.
We also come up with individualized strategies to work with the specific effects of the your particular neurodivergence on your writing process.
Sessions are usually 60-90 minutes, depending on your needs as we work through your project.
**What? We talk for nearly an hour? Most coaches can get through an introduction call in 20 minutes!
Yes, it usually does take that long. I really need to hear your story and get a feel for your project and for your specific challenges. Also, many of my clients have never had an opportunity to really talk about their needs before. So sometimes that part of the conversation takes a while. Sometimes strong emotions come up, which is totally fine with me, but it can take time to re-regulate and settle again.
